Thomas Samuel Eamon Cassidy, better known as Black Tom Cassidy, is a Marvel Comics character who is primarily associated with the X-Men.
His first appearance was in *X-Men* #99 (June 1976).
Black Tom is an Irish mutant with the ability to manipulate, control, and generate energy through plant life. He can fire concussive blasts of energy through wood, which he typically channels through a shillelagh. He's frequently portrayed as a villain and a close associate, almost a brother, to the X-Man known as Juggernaut. He is also related to Banshee (Sean Cassidy) as they are cousins.
